Nancy Drew Mysteries

"The attractive, titan-haired girl...."
I love Nancy Drew Mysteries. I love how each on always has me on the edge of my seat and ends up keeping me awake till one in the morning.
The Sapphire Spider Mystery was the very first captivating story I read out of this series.
I love how in each book, right in the first chapter, Nancy is always described as an attractive, titan-haired girl. And she is 18 no doubt.
There were just enough illustrations in each book to keep you satisfied, and help form your mental picture of what's going on at that moment.
When I was 13-15 I devoured these books. I even clocked myself. I could read one of these in four hours. Which means I would read about two a day. All fifty six mystery books came and went so swiftly. I miss them.

Are any of you Nancy Drew Mystery fans??

  9. Oh, yes! I used to read Nancy Drew mysteries all the time, I remember being sick one day and so I stayed in bed the whole day and read three Nancy Drews. :) They are so much fun. The ever capable Nancy, the expert ballet dancer, swimmer, horse rider, code solver, and part-time investigator ;)

  10. Awwww!! Nancy Drew!!! ♥♥♥

I started collecting these books when I was about 12...and I just couldn't stop (even when I reached the age that most girls were throwing them aside). I am lacking only 10 to complete the collection!!! I have a shelf in my room, above my bed, with all of the Nancy Drew books on it. ♥ Flipping through them bring back so many memories! AND...I love snuggling in my bed and reading one every now and then. Even if I can solve the mystery by the first 5 pages ;) OR remember who the 'bad guy' was. ;)

Lovely post, dear! This brightened my day!

  16. Ah, yes. Nancy Drew. I used to read those all the time! Although I would occasionally laugh at some of the cliche expressions as I grew older, I still enjoyed them.

  21. I LOVE Nancy Drew! I went through this stage in my life a couple years ago where all I read was Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys and the only books I bought were Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. And now I have a ton of Nancy Drew books, that yes, I still get out and read occasionally. Because I will never grow out of them. =)
